Tucked inside Sunset Park's Industry City complex, Barrow's Intense NY Tasting Room is the home base of Josh Morton's award-winning ginger liqueur and, more notably, the place to drink your way through New York State. The bar stocks over 160 NY-produced spirits — whiskey, gin, vodka, brandy, and more — making it the largest selection of New York State spirits anywhere in the world. You can build your own custom flight from that deep catalog or order one of the curated options, like the Ultimate Empire Rye or Welcome to Gin flight. Production tours of the ginger liqueur facility run Monday through Thursday by request, giving you a look at how the liqueur gets made from 200 pounds of fresh ginger per batch. The space itself is larger than you'd expect: a 1,200-square-foot bar plus a private courtyard with a fire pit. The vibe skews local and low-key, with personable bartenders who know the products they're pouring.
