Denning's Point Distillery sits inside a 19th-century building in downtown Beacon, about 90 minutes north of Manhattan on the Hudson River. The team brings over 25 years of distilling expertise and leans hard into the Hudson Valley's agricultural roots - sourcing local grains and fruit (including apples from Meadowbrook Farm in Wappingers Falls) to make spirits that actually taste like where they come from. The flagship Beacon Bourbon took home Hudson Valley Magazine's Best Hudson Valley Distillery award three years running (2015, 2016, 2017), and the lineup has grown to include apple brandy, vodka, gin, and seasonal releases like Beacon Rock & Rye. On weekends the tasting room comes alive with $10 flights and, on Saturdays, a spirits expert to walk you through what's in the glass. Live music shows up most second Saturdays. During the week you can still stop in for bottle sales - just ring the front doorbell. The industrial production space is visible from the tasting area, so you get a real sense of how everything is made.
