Wolf Point Distilling
West Loop, Chicago, IL
Wolf Point Distilling takes its name from the historic confluence of Chicago's three river branches, and the connection to the city's past runs through everything they make. Founded in 2017, the distillery occupies a former ice house in the West Loop, and the exposed brick and timber beams make it feel rooted in the neighborhood rather than designed for Instagram. Each spirit tells a chapter of Chicago history, with intricate hand-drawn label illustrations bringing those stories to life. You can taste through their full lineup at the walk-in tasting room, which pours small-batch bourbon, rye, gin, vodka, and seasonal moonshine infusions. The Florence Field Gin stands out for its fresh-ground botanicals, distilled the same day they're mashed. Tours take you behind the production floor and explain the process and the stories behind each bottle. Dogs are welcome, street parking is free, and the vibe is more neighborhood bar than polished tourist attraction. If you want to take something home, the online shop and in-person bottle sales have you covered.
